What to Expect/Your Hunt
- All hunters must check in at the lodge by arriving prior to lunch. You will be shown your sleeping quarters and living space for the next 5 days. The area includes a kitchenette, full bath and living room. Linens are provided.
- Hunters will be shown the hunting properties where they will hunt. We encourage all hunters to have OnX maps installed on their phones, so Matt can send you the location of the stand you are hunting. This will help you get to your stand so you’re not plundering through the dark in the morning, all hunters are required to use fall protection if hunting from an elevated ladder or lock on stand.
- All hunters will be required to shoot their weapon of choice adequately, there will be targets available for archery hunters. If gun hunters need to check their gun we can set that up as well.
- All stands will have a reflective safety rope so you can easily find your stand in the dark
- All stands will have bow hangers
- Mornings start with a continental breakfast including coffee, juices, pastries, cereal, etc.
- Hunters will be picked up around 10am daily, except during the rut, where hunters can sit all day if they choose
- Lunch will consist of sandwiches or soup/chili along with fruit and drinks
- Hunters will return to their stands around 3pm to sit until dark, then picked up and head to the lodge
- If a hunter shoots a deer, they are required to text or call Matt and they will jointly decide what the best scenario is to recover the deer once Matt arrives
- Dinner will be served family style in the main dining room every evening
- Hunter’s area will be stocked with snacks, water and soda
- Check out is 10am on day 5 of your stay
- Airport transportation is not included
- In the event a hunter takes a “bad shot”, there is a blood trail and we are unable to recover the animal after endless searching, the hunt will be over
